Energy Usage
Electricity is one of the most valuable forms of energy we have, individually, and collectively as a state and a nation. Electricity drives our economy: economists track the growth in the U.S. gross domestic product (GDP) and growth in demand for electricity. On a more practical basis, electricity enables us to light and heat our homes, to power our appliances and to stay in touch with family and friends by using our personal computers, our charged up smartphones and tablets, and the Internet. Some families even power their cars with electricity. Because electricity is such a valuable resource, it’s important to use it wisely.
